Jornal britânico lista 100 melhores romances de todos os tempos

O jornal britânico The Guardian gerou polêmica ao convidar o jornalista Robert McCrum para fazer uma relação dos 100 melhores romances de todos os tempos. Escrito em 1604, “Don Quixote De La Mancha“, do espanhol Miguel de Cervantes, conquistou o topo da lista por conseguir dentre os séculos se manter como uma obra inovadora e uma novela realista, com uma linguagem com humor e que gera reflexões.

Como uma forma de contornar a discussão do motivo pelo qual escritores como Bret Easton Ellis e Jeffrey Eugenides não foram citados, o jornal convidou os leitores a fazerem suas próprias listas e compartilhar no site. A justificativa é que de certo existem mais de 100 bons romances no mundo. O resultado foi que mais de 14 mil pessoas aceitaram o desafio.
